Auto: The Warm Rapids Inn can be reached by taking Highway 18 East from Lake
Cowichan (7 km) or West from Highway 1 just North of Duncan (19 km). Turn
at Skutz Falls Road and then go immediately left onto Cowichan Lake Road.
Warm Rapids Inn is located one kilometre away at 6633 Cowichan Lake Road
on the left just past the Mayo Road intersection. Air: Two airports are located close to the Cowichan Valley. The Victoria International Airport (YYJ) is situated just north of Victoria with flights arriving from Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna, Edmonton and Toronto. It takes approximately an hour and fifteen minutes to drive from Victoria International to the Warm Rapids Inn. The Nanaimo-Collishaw Air Terminal (YCD) is a regional airport with flights arriving from Vancouver International Airport. This airport is located 18 km South of Nanaimo and it takes approximately 45 minutes to drive to the Warm Rapids Inn. Both airports have rental car agencies. ![]() Train: The E&N Railway train stops in downtown Duncan at the historic railway station twice a day. Using Dayliner Budd cars, the E&N travels from Victoria to Courtenay and back each day providing visitors with an opportunity to see 225 kilometres (140 miles) of Vancouver Island from the comfort of the train. Bus: Gray Line of Victoria provides scheduled bus service to the nearby city of Duncan from as far South as Victoria and as far North as Port Hardy with several stops in between. Visitors arriving on Vancouver Island in either Victoria or Nanaimo for example, can choose from several daily departures to Duncan from the bus stations in both cities. The Bus Depot in Duncan is located just off the Trans Canada Highway behind the Village Green. For more details, see: www.greyhound.ca/en/ Regional Transit Bus: The Cowichan Valley Regional Transit System operates buses from the city of Duncan to the town of Lake Cowichan and back each day except Sundays. They’ll stop right near the Warm Rapids Inn. This inexpensive mode of transportation is ideal for guests who do not have a vehicle (e.g. those who arrive in Duncan via the E&N Railway or via the Gray Line bus).
